I'm going up to Pittsburgh on Wednesday to pick up a car I bought. I really hate to rent a UHaul trailer because they don't take care of their stuff.
Anyone in Orlando that would let me rent or borrow theirs from Wednesday to Friday?

I'll leave a deposit if needed as well.

Here's a pic of the car I bought......I guess I'm keeping the Benzo and not buy an Audi S4 after all. I love the S4, but it has to be exactly the way I want it if I'm going to spend over $50k...and I couldn't find one the way I wanted it.
Let's see how the A3 looks once they come out with the 3.2 or 3.6 V6....

Plus, the soonest I've found for delivery is the middle of next month. I can't wait that long.
With gas, room and food I'll spend around $700.00
If I rent a UHaul trailer it will be around $350.00
That puts me around the cost of having it shipped, but it lets me do it and it gets it here quicker.

I meant to tell you about a dealer/repair shop I saw in Daytona that always has a few of those around. But I've never seen anything that clean parked there.

Maybe we can tool around like a couple homos in our little convertibles :)
This thing placed 1st in class at the Pittsburgh Grand Prix this year and 1st two other times with well over 50 cars in its class. Maybe I'll be able to park it down on PArk Avenue for next year's Concourse D Elegance....
We'll see.

I've spent days online researching and educating myself on these cars and their history. So far it's been pretty interesting.

I was actually trying to talk to a guy in Sarasota who has one that is 50% restored, but I just can't find the time to drive down and look at it. I've had a B and Midget...fun but frustrating.

basically going to follow the nav commands of my IQue M5. Unless I see a shortcut along the way.

I honestly don't know how much time I would have to visit, but if you want to meet me off the highway for a bite to eat, I'd enjoy your company.

One of which was at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Apparently the guy that built this car (Mike Zappa) has built three other national championship show cars (Sunbeam Tiger, Ferrari Dino, MGA) he also races vintage cars. I'm sure this car is going to be amazing...well as amazing as an old MGB can be atleast.
I post up some pics when I get back and you and Shane will have to stop by or something.

If you're coming from PA, I'd be about 1/2 way. More than likely you'll be coming back via I-81. You could stop here on your way back and continue on the following day. About 10hrs to Orlando from Asheville.

My garmin GPS shows a total stopped time of only 19 minutes 37 seconds. I refueled twice and went number 2 twice...All of that took less than 20 minutes :)
I left at exactly 6am and pulled into the hotel lot at 7:32 pm...since then I had Outback Steakhouse delivered, watched poker on TV and drove to a 24 Wal Mart to buy a CB radio.
I have no cingular signal for my cell phone during 4+ hours while driving through West Virginia and Virginia...Pretty scary, so I bought the CB just incase I need help.
I'm actually planning on driving atleast 8-10 hrs tomorrow and then the rest 5-7 hrs after a few hours sleep at a rest stop.
My goal is to get back into Orlando by noon on Friday so I have time to register and drive the car.....
Give me a call on my cell phone tomorrow around noon....407-920-5553
Thanks for the offer, I may still take you up on it.
