No power in Miami-Dade or Broward. Downtown Miami is a mess. Windows blown out in highrises and 1 - 3 feet of water covering brickell avenue. Went out and took photos after we cleaned up around the house. I hope everyone else made it through without personal injury.

They're ok, lotta downed trees, no power. I've missed the last 2 hurricane seasons since I'm in college up north (damn!). It seems like everyone with shutters was fine, and the trees avoided our xterra (the A6 and Porsche 968 were safe in the garage), they went out with the chainsaw this afternoon to help clear our neighborhood's roads. I hope everyone else ended up ok.

Pushed some people out who decided to try and go through in their cars.

pool cage is gone, and wrapped around the house/trees/lanai. The pool gazebo is destroyed, trees down but overall they think the house is still watertight. I may have to head down there this weekend to clear the trees and pool cage.

Lots of blown windows, some building burned in south beach and north bay village is a complete mess. No idea when Channel 7 will be back up.

but I've heard we got the power back this morning. I've been traveling on business since the 21st. I'm flying back into this mess tomorrow. Curious what kind of damage my car parked at FLL sustained...

This might just make me go back to NJ. I'm in Hypoluxo (north of Boynton) and we'll be lucky to have power back by the 15th (although I DO have DSL). dozen's of poles snapped like toothpicks. Thankfully, no damage to home or cars (nothing a nice detailing won't fix...). I hope everyone else made it through with minimal pain/suffering.
P.S. Yoga studio has power (aka HOT showers).
