Today I was at a stoplight on a hill in my new A4 . Being still sort of new to manual, I stalled my car.

Unfortunately the person in the car behind me was tailgating me and she bumped my car (low mph, musta been less than 5 mph). Besides some small scratches, my bumper seems ok. Should I look into it more?

same thing happen to me , you should be okay other than scratches, look underneath the rear bumper you will see a thick metal to protect the rear.

Especially since its not your fault.

one each on the bumper mounts. They are there to measure how far the bumper was pushed in, if they are completely crushed you should get the car checked out, if not don't worry about it.

...there may be a big pricetag on the repair. My 98.5 was in a similar accident. What I thought was just a scratch cost about $ 800 to fix. Apparently, there are some impact absorbers under the bumper cover that cost a lot to replace. similar to a helmet, once dropped, throw away. Luckily, the other guy's ins paid my bill. I was very glad I made a claim, because I orinally thought it would only be a couple hundred at most to repaint and not worth making a report. Good luck.
