I just got a new 99.5 a4 a month ago and now wish I had gotten the cd changer. Where can I pick one up and is it worth it if you do not have the Bose system. If you install it yourself is the sound quality good, or do I need to make a whole bunch of changes, speakers and all? I'm not looking for a super sound system just is it the same quality as the tape player? Any advice would help, and thanks in advance.

They are vitually plug and play... go to the archive section... A Panasonic six disc changer, a plug in adapter to link the changer to the radio and a screw driver is about all you need. Sorry, I forgot the model numbers and all of that, but it's all there for you.

TM, thanks for the answer but when I looked in the archives it does not say anything about the quality of the Panasonic changer. Is it worth the money, and can I pick it up anywhere besides off the internet. People seem to state that they have problems with autotoys, that it wount let you return it. Thanks again

They have a website (see "Links"), but do not have ordering on-line. There's a discount from full price. Clair is an Audi dealer, so the changer comes with a warranty just as if you had it installed. As per previous reply, changer is plug-and-play if bought from Clair, which includes any adapters, but needs some $2 or $4 hardware, specific to a sedan or wagon installation.

I can't speak from experience because when I called two weeks ago, the changers were on backorder, due last week. Mine's on the way, though.

nothing else is going to plug and play, there is some digital communication that passes between the control head to the changer. Mine even had an Audi sticker on it when I got it from Clair.
