My upcoming 1.8TQM has the all weather and convienence pkgs. I don't know about Stateside but here in Canada that includes something called a "HomeLink". I've heard people talking about it on this forum but have not been able to decipher what the heck it's for. And no I did not ask my dealer what it did I figured A) It's free and B) I really just wanted to get out of there (I hate this whole car buying process)

I take it the 3 buttons are for multiple doors? How does one program it to work with ones garage door?.... Never mind my bad I'll just check the FAQ and archives.... Thanx Mark

I currently (and will continue) to park in the garage bay (of a 2-bay garage) away from my house. When I park for the night, I go in that one. When I 'm just stopping at home, I park outside and go through the garage door closer to the house. So I've had two openers in my cars up until now. And each of those were the Craftsman 3-button type, but the other two buttons were for their accessories (light controls, etc). So I had 6 buttons cluttering up the visors. It never seemed strange to me, but many people asked why I had two? Now they can ask "what's that?" refering to the buldge in my visor. Plus I have a third button to program to my father's house.

Go to Radio shack and for $20 pick up the wireless control module (61-2663). Program the remote into your other two homelink buttons, then set up a light or something near your front door. Voila, instant remote lighting.

Yes, I have too much free time on my hands..<ul><li><a href="http://www.radioshack.com/ProductCatalog/ProductDetail/Index/1,2098,CTLG_1_6102663,00.html">If you're too lazy to drive down to the Shack,..</a></li></ul>
