There is a good possibility I'll be moving to FL for a new job opportunity. One thing I'll surely miss about the Northeast is the NE Audi Summer Show (I help organize), and NEQ Driver Schools (3x a year). That said... how many DEs per year/what tracks are run in the FL region? I didn't see any in the FL NEQ site.

I would be really depressed if I can't at least take my car on a track (road course) 2x a year. :(

Thanks,
Cris

We have Audi DE events in Roebling Road, GA and we will probably host our own sometime within the next year. There are many other events down here in FL that our member go to, Chin events, PBOC, etc. You'll stil have plenty of opportunity to hit the track.

When are you moving, where are you moving?

I probably won't have my car/stuff down there yet. They'll be shipped following - I hope. What do you guys suggest for living location - you know,.. not on the "other side of the train tracks" :)

If you need help with organzing these things... let me know. Maybe I should start a Southeast Summer Show (as oppose to the NE one I run each year) when I get there. :)

Is that your coupe in the sig, btw? I had a old '85 Coupe (FWD also) a number of years back. The Northeast winters killed it :(, thus the reason for the 4ks. They are nice cars... and I wish I have the $$ to pony up for a URQ.

The FL Audi Club is split into 2 regions: Central FL, and South FL. I am the president of the FL club, and John Studdard is the Vice Prez. I coordinate all the events and meetings in the CFL area, and John takes care of the SFL area (he lives in W. Palm).

John would love to have your help with his club down there; he is real busy lately and can't commit all the time that he used to. And his main source of help down there was Jon Rudish (evol on the forum), who just recently moved up here to Orlando and is helping me with my club. So, John Studdard could really use some help down there with meetings and such.

As for where to live, post a new topic, and I am sure a lot of the SFL people will chime in on where to live, and where not to live. I'm in Orlando, and don't know the area down there at all.

Welcome to FL, and I'm sure I'll get to meet you soon at one of our joint CFL/SFL events. You just missed our huge blow-out party at the 12 Hours of Sebring, wait until you see what this club does for that race each year.

I will still be running the Northeast Audi Owners Club up this way - remotely, of course. Trying to finalize this year's summer show... lock down the venue and the vendors.

I should have some spare time to work with the QClub. At the very least.. I'll get to make some new friends. :)
