cause i think hor-hay turned my sensor off when he installed my hawk pads, but turned it back on the other day when he reset my air bag light. any thoughts on the matter?

A signal runs through a cable that loops through the pad. When the pad wears down enough, the cable gets torn up and the light goes on. It stays on until you:

a) replace the pad with another one that has the wire built in

b) cup off the connector on the car and just splice the wires together, forever eliminating the sensor.

When Mike did my Mintex, I had him cut off the connector and just tie the wires together. The other option was to cut the connector off an OEM break pad and splice it onto the wires for the Mintex, which had a non-matching connector.

Perhaps the splicing done came undone at your next visit? I don't think there's anything to do in VAGCOM for that sensor, but I'm not 100% sure.

So what happened yesterday Evan? It's cool, I don't need the ECU right away, whenever you get around to it ;)

House consumes all my time past months (hence no show at meetings). I thought I saw you at 1:30 leaving a gas station on Tuskawilla and Red Bug, but when I got up to the car, it was a stock 2.8, unless that was coincidence and you disappeared before I caught up?

Anyways, we'll arrange a time. I could use that cash to pay for the new $2200 pipes in my house :/
