A friend of mine wants to know if it is possible to recode the keyless entry on his 99 passat as we can do for our A4's? If so, what are the codes, as I have access to VWtool.

I don't know right this minute where I got the codes to reprogram my last B5.
FYI, you won't be able to do all this stuff that is possible with the A4, for example,
I don't think you'll be able to roll down windowns,open/close sunroof with remote.
This is according to my dealer and I don't recall seeing this on the codes either.
What they were able to do is, reprogram all doors to lock at 15mph and to open all doors upon
taking the key out of the ignition...

can go to and purchase an electronic box from this guy that will help you do
all the other goodies, open/close windows/sunroof with remote...
