I may look into paying the $500 to incorporate a dummy business, and having my cable modem bill in the company's name. That way, if they ever come after me, I will just close the "company"....its more complicated than that, but it is just an idea I am throwing around. I have yet to research it at all.

Just keep your MP3's in a separate file. Keep a few in your shared folder so other people can browse but keep the majority of your library unshared. that's what I do. The RIAA is looking for people with 1000's of files shared. Not a few dozen....

Plus, if you are the sole person in the corp you are not shielded like Enron &amp; MCI execs. doh.

It takes a bit more work but it's not like the RIAA doesn't have money to burn.

The biggest aspect of this ruling is they were doing them all through a court in D.C. now they have to do them in individual states.
