Not that I'm sticking up for SUVs, but they do serve a purpose. Now the S4 cab is a different story. I can go really really fast, but I can't go to the track. Oh yeah, and my insurance is going to be super high.

Having said that, I'd much rather have an S4 Cab than my VW Touareg.

which I agree with for the most part. If I had several kids and had to haul a ton of crap around, I would take an SUV over a minivan any day of the week....especially the Toureg.

hate SUVs.They're inefficient, high emission, and are impossible to see around/thru/over.Go to europe and see how many are there. Almost none. Unfortunately they are starting to catch the SUV fever. But at least they have to pay a hefty premium if they buy a real pig.I wish we'd go to the emissions based licensing fees here. I guarantee you'd see a lot less SUVs then.

My parents have owned several SUVs but none like the current tanks. One was a Trooper, the other was a Jeep Cherokee. Of course we have always owned boats- a few of which weighed more than most wagons, so trucks and SUVs have always filled that role. I have no problem with SUV drivers that are aware they are driving a large vehicle and have the courtesy to stay on the inside of the opposing turning lane so you can see around them. Now, when Susy-trophy-wife gets an Expedition as a first car since her Civic, things usually get ugly.
