Contingent on me being able to sell the car for 22-23k so the lease could be baught out, but forget about that for now.
The G35C MT6 I priced out is $32.5k. I don't really want any exra options beyond that. I'd finance this time, 60 months, put 2-3k down. Peoplefirst.com puts me at a $560 (ish) per month payment, tax not included I believe.
I'm not interested in a used S4, and the new S4 is going to be just too much $$ to spend right now. Don't want a new A4, I want more power than that. Only other car I like is the 330Ci but that's $38k and it's still only 225 HP. Doesn't seem like it's worth it when ya think about it.
And don't suggest an Evo or an STi. I want something that doesn't feel like a Neon inside thank you.
Any opinions?

Best bang/luxury for the buck IMO.

Some places won't do it w/o having you SSN to run your credit, but f-that. My FICO score is 753 with $1000 on my CC's when I ran it 2 weeks ago. And the local dealership has no e-mail listed for internet sales.
Would it be a problem to run a few numbers?

My g/f pays half the bills mind you. An extra $200/mo over my A4 doesn't make or break the bank.

Oh course at your age I didn't think much about the future either. Might as well enjoy it while you can until you get married. All wives are not as cool as Breeze.

It's just a matter of where I want to spend the money. Recently it's been modding the Audi. Current job didn't have any type of investment plan (401k) to offer . Can't start it for 6 months at the new job, can't dump $3k into an IRA, has to be saved for downpayment on house (which I'll be getting once my lease is up in another 6 months). Sure I could save an extra $1200 for downpayment if I keep my Audi, but my pleasure is worth extra money sometimes. I really don't spend money on anything except my standard montly bills, so I still bank plenty of cash.

Plus I'm prepaying my kid's college.4 years till she starts, so hopefully 8 till she's done. Then I'll be the one with the high car payment. BTW, test drove the G35 coupe and like it alot. Nice power all through the RPM range. It turns in alot quicker than the A4 also. Funny how you forget how RWD cars feel when you've been driving a Quattro for a while. Probably my next car also. I'd love to have a Sti or EVo but I don't think I could lose the luxury.

I've got a very modest HT setup but I'm weird with spending. I like to save and spend big. Doesn't bet much bigger than a car, granted that's not one huge payment. I've got a lot of things on my list of stuff I'd like to have like an iPod or a TiVo. And I could easily buy them, but I havn't. If it's not something I really benefit from daily useage out of, I hate having to spend the $$ on it.
I don't have any kids that I have to worry about now. After I get a house I'll gotta get the ring to get married, then from there, who knows. That's too many years to worry about at this point.

Would you be able to ask them to run a basic finance and lease figure on a G35C MT6, no additional options?
$1500 down on 36 mo lease with 12k milesy/r
$1500 down on 24 mo lease with 12k miles/yr
And then $3k down on same car, 60 month financing.
Assume price of car on the "best deal" you'd give me. Credit is excellent as mentioned earlier
If not, that's cool.

well I leased a fully loaded G35C. every option was on the car. did 48 months at 15,000 with first and bank fee. The residual on this car is actually lower than the sedan by a few ticks. I negotiated a $1000.00 discount and my lease payment is $483.00 Granted I was all set to buy a g35 sedan on Dec 30 and I switched gears on the dealer and told them I want the coupe. This was in Massachusetts as I was just a day away from moving to FL

Dealer will offer $17k for the car, there is $22k due roughly. In stock form I should be able to get the lease buyout amount from what I've seen other 2001 A4's go for.
I could also work the inequity into a new finance or lease deal. I had Field BMW quote me on a 330Ci. I could lease for $1000 up front, 36mo/12k mis for $541+tax. If I lease in the inequity, I'd put $3600 down and pay $618/mo.
Same could be done on a G35C, albeit leasing/financing in the inequity is dumb. It all be contingent on me selling the A4 for the buyout price, or perhaps no more than $500 loss.
