I think those prices are quite high. I think you could purchase a brand new car for those prices.. Why don't you post up the options that you want, let's say on a brand new Audi and get a couple of opinions on what is a good price. Or if it's a money situation, tell us what your upper limit is. Again, those prices seem a little steep.

Espically with those miles. Without spending a whole lot more $ you could get a new car. A new loaded 2.8 would probably run 33-35K depending on how willing the dealer would negoiate.

Personally, I don't think those prices are high at all. A new Y2K 2.8 with quattro cost me $34,000 with $1,000 dealer's profit and almost every option except navigation, sports package, phone and sport seats. I just sold a 1998 $35,000 Pathfinder with 11,000 miles for $26,000 (even though it cost me $30,000 to begin with-$35,000 was the MSRP). If I were to put my car up for sale a year from now with 10,000 miles, you bet I would ask at least $28-$29,000, or maybe more depending what the market dictated at that point. I say go for it. If it is a 2.8, you are going to pay at least $34-$35,000 new. You'll be saving alot of money going with a low mileage one year old car.

You're very welcome. I have been on and off this board for a year now agonizing on what car to buy and what to do. My husband drove the A4 after I did and the decision was made. He didn't even want to look at everything else, since I narrowed the field considerably by that point.

I just got the car about 1-1/2 weeks ago and LOVE IT! There is nothing wrong with the car at all. First new car I've purchased that didn't have some little nuance to correct right off the bat. It drives great, and is a lot of fun to drive. It's amazing how many stares you get. I almost got two guys in a Mustang in an accident when I was leaving Pep Boys.

Good Luck!
