I was just wondering when the typical first brake service is for a 2001 A4 1.8t, my rear brakes have been squeeking lately...anyone know how long OEM brakes usually last?

If they are squeaking let the service advisor know on you next visit. They can resurface the pads (and rotors if needed). That usually takes care of the noise problem. If it's only the rears then drive in reverse to about 20-25 mph and hit the brakes hard. The pads will sometimes build up a leading edge that will make for noisy brakes. The high-speed drive in reverse followed by hard braking will "break off" that leading edge (assuming that is the problem) and usually take care of the squeaking.
