Question here..

1) would it be possible to upgrade an A4 w/o an auto-dimming mirror to one with? From looking at my 2.8 rental, it seems like the only difference is the mirror, and that black plastic cover between mirror and overhead lighting which is where power is pulled from

2) any idea what the cost of the new '02 A4 autodimming mirror with built in compass would be? and if I get one to try and upgrade my '01 A4 with, and it didn't work out for someone reason, would I be able to get my money back w/o getting hit hard on a re-stocking fee?

Good Question, I know you can put the dimming mirror in but I think I will have to pull a compass one off and see if it will work. Will let you know later.

If it does not or for some reason you don't like it as much as you thought you would, there is a no return poicy on electrical components and I'm not sure if it's something I or Mike can bypass but I can't see why it would not work. I can tell you that It's not going to be cheap and their might be related components such as resistors and or harnesses associated with that particular retro....
