The guy doesnt have any insurance! I got an estimate and I'm looking at around 2200 - 2500 damage.. I got a police report and the cop didnt even write it was his fault on there.. So I'm basically screwed for now and I'm either going to fix it myself, or go through my insurance and let them go after him..

the cop was negligent and that guy has to pay, insurance or not. Take it to court.

and I spoke to the guy yesterday, and actually scared him alot.. By the end of the conversation he was stuttering and couldnt even speak..

We'll see what happens tomorow...

Years ago my girlfriend (now wife) was hit by a guy with no insurance. Her VW was totalled, and her insurance company paid her off....minus her deductable. About 1.5 years later, the insurance company was successful in getting the full amount out of the guy, so she got her deductable refunded, and of course her rates did not go up.

Please tell me the idiot got a ticket for not having insurance??????????

don't mess with the cop, it can turn out way worse for you, even if you had his shaking in his boots. Go to his superiors if you need to talk to someone at the police.

My friend was in an accident where he lost control because of road debris. A FL State Trooper wrote my friend a ticket for wreckless driving and it was obvious he wasn't. The cop was just being a flat out dick to him. He contested it and won easily. I believe the cop was reprimanded as well.
