It looks like my car needs an alignment, or something. When driving down freshly paved road, the steering wheel has to be turned slightly to the right to keep the car straight, but I can leave it in that position, not hold it, and the car won't drift. I'm not big into knowing about these kinds of problems. Some obvious things I need to check are tire pressure, and perhaps the wheel balancing is off? If it does turn out it is an alignment issue, how do you suggest I approach it with the service department?

Are you sure the alignment problem isn't caused by the crown in the road? Have you tried driving the car down the center of the road (obviously not in traffic :-)?

Ive tried it on all kinds of roads and it always has the same effect, and some of the roads are the newly paved portions of 408 and newly paved portions of 436 where you can see the pave lines and know your on a full piece and not 2 halves.
if they are covered under warranty, do you think they may try and hassle me over not saying anything before i took delivery?

If you are having to turn the wheel to the right (to the passenger side)while driving there may be a problem. Road crown will make a pull to the right but you are describing a pull to the left.
Alignments are covered by warranty- (max 1 a year as long as no signs of damage) and Audi says the car should have at least 2500 miles before an alignment can be performed (due to break in of components)

With me the car isn't pulling at all. On flat even pavement going straight, the steering wheel is slightly, very slightly, turned to the right. I convinced myself it's an optical illusion with the "aluminum" trim on the dash since it's not flat.
