Sorry to be off topic, and probably a long shot but...

Do you know anyone in need of an inexpensive first car, or a cheap second car? I need to sell my old car sometime within August (preferably) since insurance ends Aug 25 and I don't want to renew it.

Burgundy 88 Dodge Lancer ES with 117k miles and a poopload of fairly new parts like:

Entire breaking system
Entire A/C System (just under 1 year old now)
Tires still in good shape
Rack and Pinion replaced about 2 years ago

Lots of miscellaneous stuff replaced over the years (it was always cheaper to dump money into it to fix then get a new car at the time). There has never been any major trouble from engine/tranny and my family are the original owners.

It's all leather, has alloy wheels (fairly nice ones IMHO) and has 28& tint all around.

It was painted 4 1/2 years ago but is in dire need of a good buffing. I'm going to see what I can do to bring back some of the shine this weekend since I've got some 3M IHG I want to test out before I try it on my A4.

There was some rust on the hatch (4 door with hatch) that I sanded and primed, although this hasn't stopped the rusting process, but it has slowed it down a good deal. It hasn't been repainted since then so theres some small areas that are grey from the primer.

Car still drives nicely considering age and mileage. Every mechanic who has worked on the car said it is in great condition considering all of that, and if you've seen any of the Lancer's around Orlando, mine is the only one that I've ever seen that isn't rusted everywhere or has all kinds of body damage.

Would make a good first car for a teenager, or whatever. If anyone is interested or may know of someone interested, please let me know!

Again, sorry, but I had to ask since this is a good way to get in touch with a lot of local people.

Actually I am. I'm buying my dad's '96 golf for 4K. He wanted all wheel drive but bought a GD CRV!!!!! I can't believe it. I told him he's no longer invited to the wedding except to bring me the Golf. Anyhow I want $900.00 for the Scirocco. in the past 9 months I've put too many new parts on it to list.(in anticipation of a complete restoration) One noteable is the clutch. Air works well and the car actually pulls pretty strong. If anyone sells can sell it for me, tell the perspective buyer what you want and keep the difference over $900.00
