JULY MEETING (Classic party canceled)
The Classic Audi groundbreaking party has been canceled for July 14th, and we will just be having our usual monthly meeting on the 14th instead. The meeting will be at 2 pm at Kelseys as usual, and if you need directions, go to:
http://www.quattroclubusa.org/r/florida/qcf/Kelseysdirections_files/Kelseysdirections.htm

Depending on how the planning goes for the rescheduled Classic groundbreaking, we will most likely have the party on the 11th of August.

GRAND PRIX OF SOMOMA
July 22 is the annual Grand Prix of Sonoma at Sears Point Raceway. This race is the 3rd event on the American Lemans Series, and Audi will be there once again to defend last year's 1st and 2nd place finish. The TV coverage will be provided by NBC Sports starting at 4pm. The race will last 2 hours and 45 minutes, but we expect the race to be much shorter for many of Audi's competitors. Of course the Quattro Club will organizing a small get-together to watch the race; if you would like to join us, drop me a line and I will let you know where the party is being held.

PETIT LEMANS - October 4th - 6th
Tom Saltino and I are still working on the Audi Alley corral for Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta. We are still lining up sponsors to help fund the corral, and have some of the initial planning under way. Here are some of the details so far:
-100+ Audis expected in the corral
-Possible catered lunch during Saturday's 12 hour race
-Free drinks provided (soda, water, beer)
-A party with Alex Job's Porsche racing team on Friday night at the corral
-And of course we will be renting another tent as we did for Sebring complete with a projector and satellite TV hook up for the live Speedvision broadcast (first class baby!).

For those of you in the club who are not familiar with our annual Petit Lemans trip, here is a little background; Petit Lemans is a 10 hour endurance race at Road Atlanta for the American Lemans Series. The endurance race is on Saturday from 12:30pm to 10:30pm. The Thursday and Friday prior to the 12 Hour race are filled with full days of racing by other series such as the Speedvision World Challenge, Mazda Star, Panoz GT Pro Series, and some historic racing as well. The Audi club will be hosting a corral and parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Quattro Club of Florida is currently reserving a block of rooms at a hotel nearby (same as last year) for a discounted rate and we will have reservation information for everyone soon. We will be organizing some caravans to head up to Atlanta on the Wednesday night and Thursday night prior to the race. For more info on the Petit Lemans race and the schedule, follow these links:

As stated before, I am still asking for volunteers to help organize this event......if you have the time and the desire to help out, let me know.
