going to be doing a detail on a new darker colored car. i'm going to use:

wash
clay
p21s gepc
blackfire sealant
blitz wax

the question i have is about microfiber towels. is there anything wrong with the multipack of towels i found at walmart? they seem to be pretty plush to me. they are just much cheaper than others i've seen. i got 6 towels for $5.

Really shouldn't be a problem, because if you do introduce some minor ...minor swirls (which will happen) they won't compare AT ALL to what is already on the car. IMO, I would go ahead and get er cleaned up.

I have the el cheapo ones from Target for various misc wipe downs (door sills, trunk sills, grille, etc...) that work fine.

But I also have the very plush Detailers Domain MF towels that are very nice and much larger than the el cheapo ones. I also have the super plush blue ones from detailers domain that I really love.

The only issue I can see from the cheaper ones are how long they last and possibly if too much force is applied light scratching can occur.

But you definately get what you pay for.
