first off, let me declare that i WILL slow down as i believe that the adage "the 3rd time's the charm" works in both directions. bleh

last week, ~2.30am: driving home from work i got pulled for doing 82mph on a 65mph posted 5 lane highway. i couldnt find my proof of insurance so the officer gave me a 'fix it' ticket. i was respectably dressed and there was only 1 other car on the highway at the time. yay

earlier tonight, ~12.30am: driving home from work i got pulled for doing 55mph on a 35mph posted 2 lane street. i couldnt find my proof of insurance so the officer gave me a 'fix it'
ticket. the cop asked me, "what colour is your car?" :) yay

it makes me wonder .. had i some agressive aftermarket wheels .. would i have gotten off with a slap on the wrist? my car looks bone stock except for some missing badges. hrm


i can't wait for that thunderhill street class.

I wonder if you would have gotten a ticket if you DID have your proof of insurance?? In other words, that might have given the cops a way to write you up for a much less serious offense than speeding. I'll bet some cops don't like giving speeding tickets to sober drivers in safe, registered vehicles. Long shot, but, cops (most of them) are human too.

Always had license, registration, insurance and business cards (to prove that I could afford such a "nice" car at a young age). No, they like to arrest me first, THEN tell me that I got pulled over because I looked suspicious and looked like I had a gun. ???! I have tinted windows!

Oh and who cares if I was 2 inches over the pedestrian mark at the red light!
