I will hopefully know more when I see the car tomorrow, but this wasn't a pro steeling it for parts. This was a bunch of kids taking it for a joy ride, which is what I wanted my alarm to prevent. If they found out where my valet switch was located, they could have defeated the alarm in a matter of seconds. I did have some email conversations with a few folks that were installing the same alarm as me and told them where it was since I thought it was a great location. Who's to say if one of those emails fell into the wrong hands totally unintentionally (I'm not in any way insinuating that someone here is less than honest!). I just don't know, and I'm speculating and admittedly, probably being a little paranoid. It probably wasn't someone here, and I'll probably figure out what was done when I see the car, but from this point on, I'm going to be alot more careful. You know the old adage "...once burned, twice shy."

another piece of the puzzle. Idealy if I wanted to steal your car I would know

the alarm system
where you park
when you park
license plate number of car

I guess that's what I'm asking, did you post on Audiworld all this info or enough parts that someone reading the boards could have targeted your car?

Hope it all turns out well just means I hope your car is fine and you can keep it or sell it or whatever you decide to do.

This is the best system I ever had. Thye tell you when your car is stolen and at this point they call you and at the same time, track your vehicule and chase it with their own chaser and then, when the car is located, they call the police and you got your car back in a few hour.

Boomerang web site

offered in Canada. Do you know anything about this being offered in the US?? I've also got my installer checking into it.

the rep in NY, as he also reps other products. He's going to contact him and inquire more about it. Supposedly it's up and running in the Tri state NY area, but probably with out the chase cars. However, if they have it running where at least they can telephone you when and if the car is stolen, that at least prevents them from having such a head start, and the owner can call the cops and work with the Boomerang folks to catch the little ****s.
