Last weekend I stripped the wax with a foamy Dawn wash, then used 3M IHG and re-waxed with Blitz. After reading the recent threads here, I thought I'd give the P21s Polish a try. My question is whether I need to strip off the wax again to use it - or whether it can be applied after a normal wash, then followed with more wax.

the car anyways to get rid of any dirt. Car wash detergent is designed to minimize wax removal. Replace your regular car wash detergent with lots of Dawn to strip the wax and clean the car.

All glazes and polishes remove whatever wax is left on the car. That's why you don't want to use it too often as you will be removing your base coating of wax. I don't even bother to wash with Dawn when I detail my car. I just wash normally, then use the IHG, then follow with the GEPC, and then wax. Hope this helps.

If the polish is going to strip the wax, why using some harsher detergent in the wash. Just don't see the point of it.
