I am replacing my chrome drip molding on the bottom of each window of my 1988 Audi 90 since they are damaged with hailstone marks and after having the rest of the car refinished they look worse than before. My auto body shop said they can install them although they would have to remove the interior door panel. It looks to me like the old moldings would come off without removing the panel. Has anyone ever done this job before and know what it really would entail? also does anyone have a good source for replacing the black body side moldings? These were removed prior to refinishing and now the car is without side moldings. Audi's prices for OEM replacement parts are quite expensive. Was wondering if anything comparable exists elsewhere.

I have a 1988 model 90 non-quattro. Had wide body side moldings.
