I'm considering a pressure washer like the Simoniz S1400. Are these things really worthwhile for washing the car?

View Full Version : pressure washer? mgs1 07-10-2001, 12:57 PM I'm considering a pressure washer like the Simoniz S1400. Are these things really worthwhile for washing the car? Mark '87 4kq Style12v 07-10-2001, 02:07 PM My father got one thinking it would save him time driving to the self carwash etc.. It leaked in two places where you screw it together, with no way to fix it. The switch to turn on / off the soap was very difficult to move until after you moved it back and forth afew times (did this every time he tried to wash). He returned it after a week, and said "Nothing works better than a bucket and a wash mitt". mgs1 07-10-2001, 03:12 PM Thanks. I won't waste my $. I use a gas engine powered pressure washer with hot water in winter on the cars and it lets me clean them daily before putting them away in just a couple minutes each. I think that helps keep the cars in like new shape despite New England winter roads.
