I waxed my car in either march or feb (it was about 70 that day) with Mothers California Gold, and now the wax rises to the surface if I try to dry it after washing it in the sun. It's leaving white swirl marks and has made the car look old. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong since I've hand waxed cars before and didn't have this problem. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Never wash a car in the sun, and never wash it when the surface is hot or even warm. I can't say for certain that this is your problem, but it is a problem. Start by trying to wash in the shade when the paint is cool, and if you still get the same results, post here with more details about your detailing regimen.

Mothers's get soft when it gets hot (as in exposure to direct sun). I've also found it gets sort of cumulative and after awhile it needs to be stripped (I use Dawn dish soap and wash the car normally).
If you're not ready to re-wax, try Mothers' Instant Detailer after the wash (in the shade on a cool car.)
Wash (and dry) in the shade. Always.
