I bought a 87 CS Turbo a few weeks ago from a smoker... and I just can't stand sitting in it anymore. Any tips on eliminating the smell besides replacing the whole interior???

Just make sure you don't get it on any plastic, and wipe excess from vinyl immediately. Make sure your interior is cool before applying. Some cleaners and air fresheners will mar plastic and vinyl (esp. hot plastic and vinyl)...I don't know about Febreeze first hand, so you're better off being cautious.

What worked for me on a previous car was to clean every hard surface with glass-plus or soap and water, and rug shampoo on the seats (cloth seats) and floor. The nicotine sticks to every surface so you need to clean every square inch to get rid of it all. Leave the windows open while everything is drying, that will help too ....

than anything else. And there is a good chance there is a LOT of dust behind the vents. Trust me I just quit :)
