Are these still available? Are 5kt's the same units? Help, in the middle of a 5 bolt swap on an 86 4kq, hoping to hang urq 5 bolt strut assemblies on here but looking for the right fit axlewise....

Any insight would be appreciated...

Thanks

I believe that the urq front axles are the same as 4kq rear axles, but swapped left to right.

Those use large outer joints but 100mm inner joints. Ur-q uses 108mm inner joints so even if you find some axles you will need to swap the tranny output flanges to match.

Hope this helps.

Note to self, ask questions first, swap later.
thanks Martin.

I'm working on a slightly different swap.

The shafts have different splines, not only that the 4kq CVs simply knock off with a hammer, the large Ur-q stuff has a circlip that needs to be opened before CV is released.

When you see them side by side there is a big difference in the shaft size.

Hope this helps.

Sort of..I'm looking to mate the late 86 4kq 4 bolt hubs up to early 83 urq axles.
It sounds as though the outer splines are the same though from what you told Aldo...( late 85.5 4kq axles but need to swap the inner urq hubs due to 108mm as opposed to 100mm inner joints) to do a 5 bolt swap.
Will the outer late 85.5 4kq joint fit the outer early urq hub?

Thanks.

reminds me of my 4k after I first got the coilovers on it... needless to say, I dropped it a bit lower afterwards :P

83 URQ with an 01e and 4kq rear diff housing(and diff)..

What half shafts are we going to have to end up using?
