Still putting it all together after buying the car with the engine compartment in boxes. I am trying to figure out the water outlet off of the head. I attached a picture of what I have which doesnt have provisions for the temp sensor. Does anybody have this outlet? I need the temp sensor too so that would be a bonus. Also need the intake boot that I have pictured below. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't remember how many sensors are on the UrQ, but a 4000 might work as well. Never looked closely at ours.

The ECU temp sensor is on the head itself.

and the undertemp light next to it. Of course then there is also the thermotime switch for the cold start injector. There is a signal wire right at the water outlet that traces to the ecu for engine coolant temp. So is this an early 83 setup only or am I crazy?

Thanks!

.. pin is the actual sensor (variable resistance) that supplies the gauge cluster with the signal.
On the '83 all you do is remove the light for the low temp (blue) and install temp gauge from Coupe/4k and you are done.
The '84 and up cars are more difficlult.
BTDT many times.
The temp sensor for the ECU is a mushroom type one prong on the cylinder head under spark plug #1.
Hope this helps.

at the number one spark plug. Do you know if the threaded hole is drilled all the way through into the water jacket? The one on the head I am going to use is not and I didnt know if the urq heads had them drilled through so the sensor had actual coolant contact or whether it just measured head temperature.
Thanks,
