This forum software drives me nuts. I know, some of you guys like it and that's fine. To me, it's like a friggin Rubik's Cube. My main beef is trying to keep track of old threads that get new posts maybe a week later or a month later or whenever.
Is there a way to adjust my settings so that old threads that get new posts, show up on the front page? And/or, how does one know whether a post within a thread is new?
Help! :)

I'll see how that works out.

And my post is in italics, this shows how a new reply in a followed thread will look. ;o)

It still doesn't solve the problem completely. For instance, I've been following the urq 26 celebration thread but haven't posted in it. So every time I go back to it, I can't remember exactly which replies I've already read so I've got to re-read many of them.
Also, if someone posted new information to a thread that is 2-3 months old, how would anyone know? Unless you manually scrolled back through all the pages. I suppose the best way to add something to an old topic would be to start a new thread and link to the old one.
Seems like it would be easier if all threads that had new posts in them, would show up in that order, rather than in order of when the thread was originally started.

click on that and it will turn into a red 'ut' Now you're tracking the thread w/o posting to it. As to re-reading posts, my computer at least puts the threads I clicked on in a different color than unread and keeps this for a few months. NOt sure how to make it do this, though :-P

This will have the thread flow similar to how you're describing (aka vbulletin style).
The main problem though is you won't see who is replying to who, but it will have that chronological flow...
