I get a rumble when turning leftish. I'm already worried about finding the right shop to do the job. I hear newer cars don't have press in bearings anymore so I need a shop with old mechanics. Do some guys remove replace the bearing with strut in place?

I would expect any competent independent German shop could do this. Just educate them about the implications of damaging an urq strut. If the tool is used incorrectly it can ruin the bearing carrier, but that goes for off-the-car jobs as well.
