<center><img src="http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/rcougle/DSC03769.jpg"></center><p>just got home to my UrQ. thought the stock wheels would be aluminium colored and planned to swap them back on, but they are gold. i'm not too keen on the chrome rims. i guess i'm lookin for a place to coat the gold ones or maybe i could trade the gold or chrome ones for some aluminium color ones. if anyone is interested or has a better idea let me know.

I love them, but to each his own.

they should be Old Silver Bright as per KATE.
Only the 8" R8s are Zermatt or Pearl White.

i mentioned it to a friend and he said he knows a guy who will powder coat them cheap, i'm gonna get a price, if it's not what i concider cheap i'll just paint them....think i'm going with a flat black

just plain silver like most OEM rim colors.

Is that an ETKA replacement?

White wheels for a yellow urq. It just looks right. Well, at least I think so. I generally hate white wheels, but maybe it's the rally blood that makes them look proper.

In my younger days I trolled the local junk yards, and remember seeing at least two very early (1980 or so) 5000 Turbos with the gold wheels. It is possible that they came in that color on early 5KTs and Urs, but also that yours were not original to the car and came from an early 5KT.
