So other than the body harness, under hood fuse box, fender mounting horns (ours are rusted out), vac boosted brake assist, seats, wheel liners, and 3 gauge cluster... what else would be useful from this CGT for our UrQ rebuild?

This was the freebie from Audifans! Def was a great score, and was happy the guy still had it when I got a hold of him.

Here are the pix:

my pops loading it up on the trailer:

brought it home for my mom... she wasn't as amused as my dad was apparently :-P

The rig that picked it up:

and tucked away for storage:

My mom isn't so pleased with me at the moment, but it's for the good of the cause! haha. As long as we get it torn down and parted ASAP, she won't have too big of an issue. my only worry about junking the shell too quickly is that after we dip the UrQ, I'm afraid of what sorta rot we're going to find under the undercoating. I'd like to use the CGT body as much as possible to splice things together so we don't end up paying the body guy too much to make one-off pieces.

Otherwise, the UrQ has been running decently. Upgraded the front brakes to A4 spec and the rears to V8 since the car couldn't pass state inspection w/o a functioning parking brake. Had to ghetto rig the UrQ cables to work w/ the V8 calipers, but otherwise it was a pretty tit for tat swap.

It all depends upon what you want to store.

Here are a few:
Wiper system (faster motor, larger attachment nuts)
Mirrors
Glass, seals, window trim (most is now NLA)
ALL of the interior other than carpet
steering column with switches and full lock set
window regulators
Sunroof parts
headliner, B and C pillar trim
Front seat belts
Hydraulic system
Alternator and mount (used if you want to delete A/C and use a larger intercooler)
Antenna and wiring

V8, or at least what I was told.

The original MC will not fit the new style booster BTDT. You need a booster from 1981-84 4kq/Coupe.

As urq20vt said, lots of parts to be saved.
All glass, body seals, small trim, clips etc. etc.

Best is to wait till you are ready to install parts on the Ur-q... otherwise you will loose/misplace things/forget where they go.

Might as well upgrade wiring harness/fusebox as well.

Fits together fine, although I had to bend some new brake lines at the MC.

The UrQ MC not working with the cgt booster was a nice surprise when we were rolling the car onto the trailer to get it out of OH and up to Chicago so I could finish the 3b swap.

Forgot about the steering column stuff. I'll need to pick all the cruise control stuff outta that coupe since it was pulled in our '83 (if it was even an option???)

I was just planning on using the booster and CGT MC... that not an option? haven't really looked at it yet, but that's what I was shooting for at least. Figured it's the same setup as my 4000, and I have the same brake setup (or a lil better actually) in that one and the original MC handles it fine.

I only had the cgt booster at the time, and the junkyard only had 100s and 5000s that day. I'm sure the bore of the MCs is different, but if you've already got the parts...

Sorry if what I said may have been confusing.
