I looked at previous forums and noticed that there were postings of the Canadian invoice prices for the A4. The only site mentioned was APA (http://www.apa.ca/index-en.html) where for a fee of $28 they will mail you the invoice price for each car model you are requesting.
Does anyone know of a free site where the Canadian invoice prices are listed for all car models. In the US there is Edmund’s and other such sites but in Canada this information seems to be well guarded by the dealer community and not available for public consumption.

It is not just guarded by the dealer, the Manufacture's (Audi in this case but they all do this) have a big role it also, they forbid dealers to sell a car to someone they know is going to import the car to the United States. This is because they don't want people here in the United States to know how much cheaper the same car costs in Canada! Kind of the same thing that is going on in Europe between the Mainland and the U.K. The A4 that I have on order was THOUSAND's of dollars cheaper in Canada, The 2 closet dealers in Canada refused to even talk to me once they found out I was in the U.S. (I live in Detroit so it is not a far drive) I finally got a dealer in Toronto to talk to me and he told me everything I had to go through to get the car into the United States. It was going to be a big hassle but, I was close to doing it until I found it was going to take even longer to get the car in my drive way. I need the car Yesterday, so I could not do it, but my next car will definitely go through this process and save some money.
If you become a member (around $50/year), you get their magazine, and two invoice price quotes over the phone. You should be prepared with the list of options for the specific car that you want. What makes them worthwhile is that they will give you a "pre-negotiated" price with a specific dealer, and sales rep. Depending on the car you are looking at, it's been most people's experience that they cannot beat this price, if they went in and tried to negotiate it themselves.
My example: 99.5 A4 2.8 w/quattro, 5-speed, sport-package, Bose for roughly $39k which is just under 5% over invoice. MSRP would have been about $47k.
