A guy came in today for the second time, I was tied up the first time. He has an '83 Sport Quattro supposedly. All original, 62k. In Copenhagen Blue. Clutch is out, rear shocks are bad and the car hasn't moved since 1994. He offered to sell it to me for 10k. What's the market really like for one? I'm not overly familiar with the classic/collector side of the Audi market. But knowing if the car is what he says it is, I'm very tempted to either buy it for myself or put it in the hands of someone who can really appreciate it. Any help as to the value or what I should look for in appraising it would be useful.

But it sounds like a 1983 urQuattro because of the color and the year.

Value could be anywhere from 3000 to 20,000 depending upon condition.

According to Ontario DMV, my VIN makes my urq a "Sport Quattro" too..

I know it's not 'right', but I'm not going to argue either! :-)

It's sort of like going to the dealer looking for parts. They ask you what your car is..

"83 quattro"

"What kind of quattro", they ask..

(How many kinds of quattro *were* there is 83?)
