Just received my new copy of "Haynes Great Cars Audi Quattro" today from Amazon. I had pre-ordered it 1 year ago and am very happy it is finally here. If you love quattro books, I certainly think it should be one to grab. The price for mine on pre-order was only $23.00, and the photos alone are worth it. Like I said, I only just opened it up, so I cannot comment on the text yet, but since I'd buy any book I can with the quattro as a subject in any way, I couldn't be let down. A few times I became impatient and almost bought a copy from England, but it would have been more expensive even before shipping. I'm glad I have it in my hands, and think any of you who love quattro books will too.

Actually, my goal had been September anyway, so bumping it up to August is very realistic. I would love to go. Definately gonna try. I am going shoot you an email later today about the local drive.

I was up early getting a bit of reading in. Only a few interesting new tidbits that I've not read before, but overall well written. A couple of small oopses here and there. I really think this is one of the better quattro books now. However, from what I have noticed so far, the N.A. models are not in it; maybe they will get mentioned in the text. For those who want to know, the price inside the cover is $32.95 and the ISBN is 978 1 84425 330 2. Happy reading! Oh, and if you do get one, look at the differences in the frontal studio shot on the dust cover, and the one in the title page. What appears to be the same car, with the same number plate has different tires and different lower valance pinstripe. Curious.
