First of all seller says its a Quattro. Personally I have not seen it. He says its a 95 but production was 80-1991. Maybe confused and its 85. So how is that possible? Its $500 because of broken timing belt. How much can something like that cost if your on a budget? Maybe fix or get another engine? These are turbo engines right? What are his options. Thanks.

Then is would be likely a Audi 90 Quattro. And further if it is and it has a broken timing belt, don't bother. It has a 12V V6 2.8L NA engine and it's adequate but not much more. If the timing belt is broken there are most certainly bent valves and? Expensive to fix and probably not worth it. You can find better ones for a reasonable price.

We are talking US aren't we?

Are decent as motors go. The 30V better than the 12V, but not worth the work you're looking to do.
