View Full Version : Looking for a set of pistons for my 83 UR. 50mm or 50.5. Does any- empiregulch 05-14-2007, 03:17 PM one know where I might be able to find a set? squidix9 05-14-2007, 05:58 PM empiregulch 05-14-2007, 06:53 PM I am not sure of the engine code the car is in L.A. I am way up North almost in Oregon. I will call someone down there Tues. I know that it is an early 83 car one of the first shipped over. squidix9 05-15-2007, 04:29 AM is that there are different piston diameters for different engine codes. But where did you get 50mm? The WU, WE, and KH engines (all '83 vintage motors) for example all have a bore of 79.5mm. Those are the only specs I hav at my finger tips, but you should be within a mm or two of that for any engine code. My ABY is 82.5mm for example. empiregulch 05-15-2007, 08:11 PM Thanks I was to busy today to get a call to the mechanic who is going to do the rebuild. I will make another attempt Wednesday. Thanks for your help. empiregulch 05-15-2007, 08:13 PM Would it help if I had the part #?. squidix9 05-15-2007, 09:49 PM empiregulch 05-16-2007, 09:43 PM The standard pistons were 79.5 like you suggested. I need a set of either 80 or 80.5. Or any other suggestion you may have. The motor is stuck and I would like to rebuild that motor to keep the numbers matching. squidix9 05-17-2007, 04:56 AM Try taking a look at this for some options. Engine Spec's This place sells pistons Pistons Here's another JE Pistons And of course ALWAYS call these guys 034 Motorsport gmbchef 05-17-2007, 12:15 PM |
