How do you clean the blue-ish corrosion off the battery terminals? I remember using a common household chemical mixed w/ water but its been so long I can't recall which one. That pertained to my old VW (sorry). Regarding my Santorin a4 - everything spectacular except the audiocasette player is ill: after 9 months perfect performance by am/fm/cassette, tapes now sound muffled and only 1/2 volume of the radio. I tried cleaning the heads & capstan w/ 92% isopropyl alcohol to no effect. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

My '99.0 2.8Q tip has 7710 miles, and as of last night has started making an odd sound (VERY pronounced), after it has warmed up for 25 or so miles. It's most noticable in 1st, and almost sounds like I ran out of transmission fluid, with the gears grinding. Doesn't happen in the morning, or when the engine is cold, but only after 20 or so miles. I thought maybe something was stuck in the driveshaft, but it's not there al the time. Definitely tied to acceleration, since the tempo picks up with the RPM's. Dealer has a slot in two weeks for me, but I'd like to get a heads up what it may be.
