I don't mind the CIS on my car, as it's working great at the moment, and I'm wondering what the max possible HP is available using that system?

Planned are a larger turbo, and chip upgrade etc. and my goal is as close to 300 HP as possible.
Can the stock injectors, and CIS handle that much of an increase?

Please let me know what you will find out. I have same question in regards to Ur Quattro WX set up.
MC on 5KT is slightly different.I have three programs for ECU - MTM, Lehmann and this guy from Germany "Burghei".My car has few things done to engine and right now I am trying to find out how high I can go with boost pressure w/o blowing engine to pieces. Will be nice to compare notes.

I would first upgrade the internals before going that high.

This is about 1.6 bar, quite impressive.

300 hp is entirely possible. I am running a 300 hp program on my 83 WX with CIS-RS2 turbo with IA custom software & wg spring. Using a dime-sized shim in the fpr, you will increase fuel pressure by approx 10 psi, which will keep you rich enough. I'm only running max boost of 16 psi, which is a very efficient range for this turbo. You could surely go to higher boost from a K24, but I'm not sure-you'd most likely have to do some testing.

It's a '87 5000CSQ.
The stock K26 turbo only lasted me about 10k miles.
I then replaced it with a good used K26, and got another 12k miles out of that turbo.
The car now has 254k miles on it, and runs fine.
Completely stock internals.
Only had higher flow intake and 3" exhaust from the turbo back.
The efficiency drops A LOT at 26psi on a stock K26 turbo.
I don't think it was making more than 320hp, but torque had to be over 400 at that boost level.
It pulled VERY HARD from 3000rpm to about 5200rpm.
This is the same car that I managed a 5.0 second 0-60 time (19psi) AND I had to shift to 3rd. (225 50/15 tires will not get you to 60mph in 2nd gear, plus the car didn't pull very hard after about 5500rpm anyway).
