These are post worthy, since they rarely happen.
I was at a pet store here on the Cape of all places, and I hear "hey, it's a quattro turbo coupe" "rare cars" (him looking at my urq) I look at the guy kinda surprised...He goes on about the rally history, and him watching some of the sprogal (sp??) cars, and Bruno with his car(s)
As I was pulling out of the pet store at the next intersection we went by a new red TT, the owner must have know what he was looking at since I was checking out his car, and he was checking mine.
Always nice to get some well deserved recogtition.

i have a couple stories....
two guys were painting my house, one older (55) ,one younger(30). i was in the garage when we had a summer thunderstorm. The two guys took cover. I saw the older guy leaning on my spoiler, and I said "please lean on a different part of the car. Those are hard to come by." he goes...isn't this a Scirocco?? The younger guy goes "no, man. This is an Audi quattro!" Also, I had a guy in Jetta diesel wagon pass me, then slow up and give me the thumbs up, just like that Ferrari on the Merritt!

...first me. I'm pumping gas at webster Exxon and the guy pumping gas next to me is pawing over my car. I get in and fire her up. He comes to the window. "My god it's nice to see a classic audi in great shape. Later on in the conversation he was mech at a Land Rover dealer in the 80's and saw some Urq come thru.
Now gmbchef's. I was at the same Exxon 2 months earlier when I pull in to see an older lady pumping gas into a new TT convert. As I wlk by she asks "What year is she?" So we start talkin about Audi's. She a Dr in CT and had a white 85. Now I just met `chef and he told me that his car was raced by a female doc. Sure as hell this is her. We talked for what seemed like half-a-day but was really 15min about Urqs. Great lady.
gmbchef's urq 2. I'm at Audifest in SPringfield, Ma when a younger kid into Urs4's appoaches my car. We start talking about Audi's when he says "I had a white 85 Urq." I can't believe this `chef's car again. So i bust out my cell and pull up Chef's info on my phone "do you mean this guy?" Yeah that's him alright. So I've just met about everyone who has owned `chefs car, so any question's ask me not him. ;)
