I've heard rumors about some 5cyl racing engine with the headbolts (very long ones) going straigt through the block down to the crank mainbearing caps clamping the whole shebang together, Tommy Christofferson in sweden had one in his rallyrcoss Audi group-B i think.

Can anyone confirm this?
