That was a nice one they had. Many folks here in Austin were looking at that one ALOT. Its a nice color combo and it seems pretty original.
And I know some of them will be sad to see it become unavailable.. C'est la vie.

Congratulations!!

Hope you'll throw up some pictures. The ones on KAR were pretty crappy.

If its half as nice as it looks its a nice car.

Congrats again.

You should subscribe to the UrQuattro list on Audifans. Link below.
Lots of info there on potential issues that may arise. You can also enter the car in the Audi UrQuattro registry.
http://www.audiquattroparts.com/urquattro_form.htm

That car might already be in the registry. If it is, you can find the previous owner and a list of mods done to the car. My white UrQ was in there.

What are your plans with the car?<ul><li><a href="http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq">http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/urq</a</li></ul>

Thanks for the links and what-not. I will be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you all. I'll keep you all posted. In the mean time, any tips regarding this car would be greatly apreciated. Especially the cheapest place to buy parts. (Most importantly tune-up/oil change type parts)

They have what you need and their shipping prices are reasonable. Avoid your local Pepboys and places like that.

The Quattro list is searchable and typically someone has had your problem before and its been addressed. Are all the electricals working on the car? I've got numerous little electrical bugs on my White URQ that aren't serious, but they're annoying. Stuff like the rear wiper not working all the time (when it feels like it). Front wipers are slow, Brake warning light that goes on and off when it feels like it. Crap like that. I'd never argue with anyone that the electrical system in the urQ isn't crap. It is, but its fixable.

Have you picked up the car yet?<ul><li><a href="http://www.thepartsconnection.com/">http://www.thepartsconnection.com/</a</li></ul>

the firewall gets torn. I can't remember exactly why the clutch was hard to push down but I didn't notice it and eventually the master cylinder tore the firewall. I had to weld the firewall and replace the master cylinder. There are some over center helper springs under the dash this masks the increasing effort. I also reinforced the firewall by adding some straps from the linkage to a support under the dash. I also had reoccurring problems with the starter wiring. I think I still have a spare starter that was replaced by a dealer but that wasn't the problem it happened again a couple of weeks later and it turned out to be the wiring. They fixed it for free the second time when I told them I kept the old starter they replaced for $700 or something like that. My all time favorite car.

I'm having the car shipped to me. I live in NJ. I'll be sure to post some pictures and an update when the car arrives. Thanks to everyone for all the advice.

I know you were considering selling, but you got it running and you changed your mind.

What's the current status? :-)
With a nick like that, your just not yourself anymore if you get your car running.
