I have 2 urq's, 1 an 84 tornado (RS2 project, it gets the dialynx SQ hood I have), the other a 83 Amazon. I just did the hood vent mod to my '83, the "no paint" add-on method.

ck it out, it works really well.

...but I think maybe a different style of vent is needed. Nice work though.

Best of luck, you just don't have that much room if you consider the following 3 keys at all critical to form/function: HVAC intake has to be avoided, which means you have to keep outbound of the center hood section. Hood structure needs to be maintained, which means you have a very narrow limitation in length and width. Electrical connections exposed to direct rain should be considered in placement, design and style as well.

The easiest thing to do is buy the sport q hood, btdt as well. I do notice too, that it's placement of vents considers the above as well. In fact, the PS slots only fit because the hood structure was altered in casting.

A variety of vents "might" also address the 3 issues in design. I only encourage anyone to *DO* the vents, not at all claiming it's the best.
