O.K. guys, this is getting serious. I found '93 S4 Avant with the 4.2 V-8. The car is in Europe, I have no idea, how to get it here, but I don't care. My friend is going there to check it out and we will probably buy it. We will store it there and will see, what to do. The price is abour $11K. The car is not perfect, it was in accident (airbags intact), but has been repaired, also needs some eng. mounts and has noisy trans. (5-spd. stick); and for sure it needs more stuff to be perfect, but it drives nice. And it is orig. YELLOW! If some of you guys want to locate and buy a car in Europe, let me know, I can locate the car, negotiate and close the deal for you, also go there with you or set you up with help there, anything. Just do not know, how to get the car here. My cousin just bought '94 S4 Avant for $13K - 100K mls. very nice. ...There's no way around it. You'll either have to send it in as parts, or bring it in under a salvage title. And you'll never be alowed to drive it on the road here. There wasn't a comparable model sold here in the States. Believe me when I tell you, I've tried to get an RS2 into the country for the last year or so. Every avenue I've tried, I've been shot down. My friend tried to get an S6 Plus here, and was also unsuccessful. Unless you have some really deep pockets to grease somebody's palm, it's a waste of time.
