I will have a full report later, but the car is in good shape and was a good value for the money. There are some cosmetic issues and some rust, but there is no underbody, frame, or otherwise structural rust at all. It's all on the body and most of it is surface. The motor runs strong, but it feels a little sluggish, so I will have to solve the usual vacuum problems and whatnot. The car handles great, even on bald tires!

The photo shows me following Ken (in his brother's 90 20V), going 100 mph in the rain around some curves somewhere in Oklahoma. I had to slow down to take the picture, natch. The photo shows the cracked dash and cracked windshield. But, the photo also shows the car running nice and cool, even at sustained RPMs for hours on end.

Anyway, I really like this car! Thanks to Colorado Mark for his observations and opinions on the car.

Full report later.

Mind you, like you say, great condition for the money. Shame they are not ideal daily drivers else I'd love one :)

is to replace the boost gauge with a temp gauge from a 4000(?), since a temp gauge is way, WAY more important.

I was going to plumb my aftermarket VDO boost gauge last night, but I couldn't find it. It's packed away in a box somewhere. I need to get a Vac/Boost gauge anyway, since the UrQ is so sensitive to vacuum leaks. Anybody got a photo of a good boost gauge location?

Speaking of gauges, I also got a really nice lower triple gauge cluster (from a 4000) with the car, which is installed in the center console, but not actually hooked up.

If you have the 3 gauge panel in place and not the diff lock panel, make sure the vacuum lines to the diff locks are plugged. There is one line coming in from the intake manifold that connects to the cluster of lines to the diff locks. Just unplug it and plug it withe a suitable bolt or screw or whatever.
