Does anyone know if a rev limiter can be removed/raised on an older 10vt? Mac11 computer. I really cant think of a way to do this, i'm pretty sure its part of the computer software. I have an IntendedAcceleration and TAP computer and the redlines are the same. Any ideas?

I emailed ned at IntendedAcceleration at the rev limiter issue. This is what he wrote:

There is a maximum rev limit due to the constraints of the memory of the
computer. Therefore it can be raised a little, but the torque peaks around
6200 to so. In the Audi 5000 race cars from 1987 & 1988 they had the tach
painted over on all amounts over 6200.

A quick and dirty way is to use a oil pressure switch that closes when over
a certain pressure. Hook it to the fuel pump relay ground side where the
computer is connected. Use isolation diodes if you wish. When the oil
pressure is up you have no rev limit. When the engine quits the fuel pump
will also not be controlled by that switch. ( Like in an accident)
