bosh platinum plugs are not meant for turbo aplications. It even says it right on the box. Your best bet is to use bosch triple electrode resistor type plugs "w7Rdtc"

For my 93 S4, the stock plug is a Bosch Platinum. P5DOR if I remember correctly. Tha car will in fact not run well with any other plug. Many other plugs have been tried over the years in many owners' cars and this is the only one found to work consistently.
A '93 S4 is most certainly turbocharged. The box for my plugs says nothig about not for use in turbo cars, either.

maybe bad for others? I've known of a couple Audi owners that have had problems using the Platinum plugs on older turbo 10V I-5's...

I think thats what CoupeQT was trying to state...?

sorry i was trying to be specific. Most of the older 10vT that would come into the shop with platinums would run like crap.
When i through an engine together for my Urquattro i forgot to chech what plugs where in the head. I got all the boost mods done and the thing missed like crazy at around 13psi. I checked the plugs and they were some splitfire plugs. They're junk.
Oh i also used to own a GT coupe for which i bought a Jacob's Ignition System. They specified to use champion plugs. After convincing myself that it was worth the money spent i got curious and put the car on the emissions machine. I turns out that it would have the same emissions as running the car with the bosch triple electrod plugs. So the system really wasnt worth the money. Audi's usually run really clean, except the 10vt's have a problem on the dyno with Nx0 emissions, so if your already running clean a hotter ignition didnt seem to add any power. I was only getting 22ppm hydrocarbon emission with the triple electrod plugs.
