Slowly getting there, made no progress on the timing belt though since I needed to get a 1/4" extension and u-joint to get the lower cover off and that silly 6mm allen socket. The complete allen socket set was on sale at Sears for $14.99 (reg. $34.99) so it was a nice surprise. I also picked up some stainless bumper bolts for when I finally get the crap thats in there out.

I did install the new shiny radiator and expansion tank. I should hopefully be close to finished tomorrow night and the car rolling on labor day. If anything, expect more questions.

I guess that you decided not to repair the old one...

All metal Nissens brand radiator for $216. The old one (also all metal) is sitting on the side of the house. Right now its likely going to be up for grabs if anyone wants it. Its crusty and flaky and starting to turn bluish green, AKG branded with Audi P/N#.
