Today was the annual Old Fort VW show, which is just a few minutes from my apartment. The past 2-3 years I entered the 4ktq in it, but this year I just dropped by to prospect and say goodbye to all of the KDF crew and others I had met in our local VW/Audi club.
In the watercooled section there was a neat Coupe GT that caught my eye. A tuning company in town had 4 cars there, the CGT being one of them. It had what looked like older Porsche seats and rear disc brakes, and the always cool blue dash (dont think Ive seen a CGT with the blue before).
Talked with the owner, who got the car from a guy I had met in town years ago, and it turns out he is going to do a 10vt swap in it, so we had a few things to talk about. The CGT is an 85 but had the rear disc swap done prior to him owning it. They mentioned 034 and some parts they snagged from them, so thats good to hear. He has also started posting on Motorgeek which I found really interesting. Pretty decent car, I liked it, and it was good see another CGT roaming around.
