So now there's 2 MB Quart rear shelf speakers back there. Pretty easy to install, the rear shelf comes off easily, and new wiring run to the back as well. I have a pair of Vidsonix tweaters in the front. The MB Quarts are a tweater/woofer combo, and all together sound very nice... and can get loud enough to play to a nearly deaf old man!

I found a big mouse nest under the rear shelf! A double handful of nested together chewed insulation.... removed that bit of extra-added stuff. While the rear shelf was out, I had a chance to reconnect my rear defroster wiring [I was wondering why it didn't work anymore....], and visually inspect all that stuff in that area. I also ran a new anteanne wire as the old one was starting to go.

The replacement radio is the Heidelburg OEM ---a 1982 vintage radio. I works just fine, however have my doubts about how much longer it will last. We'll see. Right now it works just fine, and the reception on the radio is great! I'll hook up the Sony CD adaptor into the Cassette slot tonight.

It's sounding pretty good in there! Gonna be rockin' all the way to work today.....
